Part of the Veterans Food Panty, a project of the Citrus County Veterans Coalition.
The Chapter will take donations for this project.

SCHOLARSHIP

Each year the Chapter issues scholarship to local area students, who use them to go to college in Florida.

SUNSHINE CLUB

The purpose and function of the Chapter 70 Sunshine Club is to provide a small monetary donation to a Chapter member who is ill or in distress.

A Committee of three members has been appointed to oversee this project and to make recommendations as to the awardee.

This program serves as a house organ to let our members know they have friends who care about them.

The program is funded by a $1.00 or more voluntary donation by members at each regular meeting and in no way interferes with the 50-50 activity.

VAN FUND

An on going fund to raise monies for new vans to transport vets. Todate only one van is in use at the Lecanto Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). A fund drive, started in October of 2009 raised monies for a new van - now in service since June 2011, that van replaced the 2002 van.

This fund is to raise monies for a second van, so we can pick up vets who need a ride just to the Lecanto Clinic in Citrus County, or The Villages, Ocala - Hearing, Eye Clinics - the V.A. will also tag and title that vehicle, and cover the cost of its operation.

Monies raise will be use ONLY to 'buy' new vans for service to be use here in Citrus County.

VETERANS APPRECIATION COMMEMORATIVE PINS

Each year the Chapter has an Veterans Appreciation Commemorative Pins - Monies raise are to 1) paid for the pins, 2) used for the general fund of the Chapter

YARD SALE

Once or twice a year the Chapter and/or Auxiliary has a yard sale - to clean out our 'stuff'.
