The meeting was called to order by Commander Richard Floyd at 1410.
There were 19 members and 1 guest present.

Proper opening ceremonies were held.
Roll call of officers - all present except Service Officer Bill Geden.

The Adjutant read the minutes of the 8 February 2011 meeting.
A correction was noted to the date of the Nature Coast All Veterans Reunion.
The actual date is October 2 thru 9 2011.
The remaining minutes were accepted as read.

Treasurer Paul Curry presented the Treasurers Report for this period.
The report was accepted as read.
There were no outstanding bills.

Membership Chairman Archie Gooding reported two new members.
They were William Letz and John Sermon.
They were not present at the meeting.

Chaplain John Seaman reported that 3 members passed away since our last meeting.
They were: Nicholas Tony age 91 of Crystal River 18 Jan (USAF RET),
Robert Bernhard age 87 of Snellville, GA. Rprt. By Nat. on 5 Jan.
and Harry Horton age 80 of Lecanto Rpt. By Nat. on 5 Jan.
There were no reports of sickness.

Service Officer Joe McClister reported that he is assisting several members and non members in the filing of claims.

Under new business, the Commander appointed Ray Michael as Chairman of the 2011/2012 nominating committee.
Ray selected Gary Williamson and Neville Anderson to assist.

The Commander reported that he was contacted by an attorney in regards to bequeathment to the Chapter.
He will advise as information is received.

He also reported that a member was in need of a used washing machine.

John Seaman reported that souvenir pins were now available for the Nature Coast All Veterans Reunion event.
They are available thru the Chapter at a discount. Link

The Commander noted that the DAV sign on the side of the building has been repainted by a member of the Marine Corps League.
A sincere thank you is in order.

The Commander reported that Gary Williamson has completed our change over to Bright House for cable, telephone and internet service.
Gary and the Civil Air Patrol unit were commended for their outstanding clean up of the building and fumigation.
The Commander noted that the next step is to repaint the outside of the building.

Ed Voelker of the Civil Air Patrol reported on progress of the unit and commended the Chapter for their support.

Scholarship Chairman Gary Williamson reported that he and the Commander visited the local high schools and WTI to inform them of our two scholarships.
The cut-off date for submittal is 15 April.

Neville Anderson reported that a candidate has been chosen for the most recent Sunshine Club award.

Being no other business, proper closing ceremonies were held and the meeting was adjourned at 1505.
