*** Minutes Meeting of 14 September 2010 ***
The meeting was called to order by Commander Richard Floyd at 1405.
There were 14 members present. Proper opening ceremonies were held.
Roll call of officers - all present or accounted for.
The Adjutant read the minutes of the 8 June 2010 meeting.
The minutes were accepted as read.
Treasurer Paul Curry presented the Treasurers Report for this period.
The report was accepted as read.
There were no outstanding bills.
Chaplain John Seaman reported that nine members passed away since the June meeting,

Peter J. Holley Jr. age 89 of Spring Hill on July 25 (US Army)
Robert G. Coolbeth age 63 of Inverness on Aug. 4 (US Army)
John E. Evans age 78 of Beverly Hills on Aug. 8 (US Army)
Chas.J.McKinnell age 77 of Homosassa on Aug. 15 (USAF)
John J. Salvo age 85 of Inverness on Aug. 13 (USMC)
Francis J. Doran age 92 of Ocala on Aug. 18 (US Army)
William D. Coffey age 79 of Lecanto on Aug. 20 (USAF)
Kenneth L. Pelc age 85 of Inverness on Aug. 31 (USAAF)
Raymond C. Gavin age 83 of Inverness on Sept. 4 (US Army)
Membership Chairman Archie Gooding reported three new members this period.
Local membership (those within 344 zip code) 397.
Our newest member, Gary Williamson was introduced.
The Adjutant read recent correspondence to the chapter which included an E Mail from Becky Gibson on the Rolling Thunder Golf Tournament, a letter from scholarship recipient Mathew Smolinsky and the Citrus County Veterans Appreciation schedule of events.
Commemorative Pin Chairman John Seaman reported that more than 375 pins have been purchased to date.
The Commander reported that the Thanksgiving Feeding Alliance was seeking donations for this years event. Last year, 315 families were served. A donation of $150.00 was approved.
Captain Gary Williamson of the Inverness Civil Air Patrol gave a presentation on the Wreaths Across America Program. A donation of $195.00 to purchase 13 wreaths was approved.
The Commander reported that he submitted a request for donation to a local foundation. A grant of $2,500.00 was received.
Neville Anderson reported that the Sunshine Committee selected a member to receive the first sunshine award. A $50.00 VISA Card will be awarded.
October 5, a Tuesday has been selected to do a much needed clean up of the Chapter building.
Joe Stephens reminded members that Friday September 17 is national POW/MIA day. Several veterans organizations will have a program that day.
Joe also proposed listing all of the chapters deceased members on the web site.
Being no other business, proper closing ceremonies were held and the meeting was adjourned at 1505.

The Chapter was donated a Sony flat screen TV Model: KDL-52XBR4
The Chapter is looking for someone to have this 52" wide screen for a donation of $500.00 (or more).

Still yet another offer; we also have the CD sound track - 'Victory at Sea' - perhaps THE BEST sound track of all time.
The CD is a 'copy' of the 1953 RCA album of the same name - the CD label and sleeve is a copy of the front of the album jacket, with a playlist on the back of the sleeve. A donation of $5.00 will put this CD in your hand (at the Chapter building by the next meeting date October 12, 2010 - contact Joe Stephens (joe@yktc.us - 352 489-5245) so he will being your copy with him to the meeting.
